GorillaMic & Streets Of Venice have teamed up to bring you a night to remember once a month every 4th Saturday inside the Streets Of Venice store from 7-11pm inside the Westfield / Fox Hills Mall in Culver City, CA.

and if I forgot to mention, the mall closes at 9pm, but we’ve actually been given the keys to keep it open 3 additional hours for our event…

The music video “UNENSLAVED” by EXCEL was filmed in 1995 at the famous GONZALEZ pool. This song was inspired by the drive and style of TONY ALVA who was always in major influence and inspiration to VENICE NATIVE and vocalist DAN CLEMENTS. Tony never gave up and kept re-inventing himself through all the decades. That drive delivered EXCEL’s third release SEEKING REFUGE 1995. This video was shot 5 years before DOGTOWN & Z-BOYS documentary and 10 years before LORDS OF DOGTOWN.

Venice “Polar Bear” Skate Park Celebrates it’s 1 Year Anniversary

On Sunday, October 3, 2010 the skate community embraced, competed and celebrated at The 1 Year Anniversary of The Dennis “Polar Bear” Agnew Memorial Skatepark.

Many top pros, up and coming ams and legends showed up to put 1 year in the history books. Even Jay Adams flew in from Hawaii for the event.
